Found an entry error after filing?

A post-summary correction is an ACE process for changing eligible entry-summary data before liquidation within the applicable time rules. It is not available for every entry or every situation.

The four-step journey

Understand the purpose of a post-summary correction, eligibility, timing, supported changes, duty impact, review, and liquidation.

  • An error or new fact is identified
  • Eligibility and deadline are checked
  • Corrected data and payment impact are filed
  • CBP review and liquidation are monitored

What the broker checks

  • Entry type, status, and liquidation date
  • Reason, evidence, and affected lines
  • Additional duty, refund implications, and client approval

Why it matters

Corrections work best when the system can trace the new value back to evidence and the original decision.

  • PSC: Post-summary correction.
  • Liquidation: CBP’s final duty determination for the entry.
